Michael Andreas is an Emmy-nominated composer with hundreds of hours of film & television credits. He has composed for live theatre in Los Angeles and New York, including the incidental music for the Tony Award-winning Broadway play "Jay Johnson: The Two and Only." As a musician, he has performed with artists ranging from the Beach Boys to the Los Angeles Philharmonic and from B.B. King to the Houston Opera.
With broad experience in many genres of music, Michael brings a uniquely Los Angeles approach to his position, one founded in a deep appreciation and respect for ‘classical’ music of all periods as well as a proficiency and fascination with cutting edge music and the technology it incorporates.
Michael has been with Los Angeles Ballet since its inaugural season, during which time his primary focus has been to present the music in a way that will allow the audience to experience subtleties in the scores they may have never noticed before.
